Meanwhile fellow delegates <strong>Lianne Davis, a Quality and Specifications Technologist for Bradford-based dried convenience foods manufacturer, Symington\u2019s<\/strong>, and consultant <strong>Peter Smith of QSDA, Fife<\/strong>, were joint winners of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vwa.co.uk\/food-safety\/level4-food-safety-hygiene-course.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RSPH Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety for &nbsp;Manufacturing<\/a> title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The winners will be honoured at the RSPH\u2019s annual award ceremony in October.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Verner Wheelock\u2019s Managing Director, Alison Wheelock said<em> \u201cHuge congratulations go out to Helen, Peter and Lianne. It\u2019s fantastic that three Verner Wheelock students have achieved top marks at such an advanced level.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We always strive to provide the most engaging and relevant courses for our delegates, using real-life examples to illustrate key points wherever possible.&nbsp; The awards are testimony to the hard work put in by both the students themselves and our trainers, who are amongst the best in the country.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve RSPH Level 4 qualifications, trainees must be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of the principles and concepts used in food safety management. In order to ensure that all aspects are covered and the most up-to-date information is imparted, students are tutored by more than one trainer, each with their own particular specialism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lianne Davis was thrilled to hear the news of her award, saying: <em>\u201cI was really shocked when the RSPH got in touch to tell me, but I\u2019m really pleased and proud to have won the award and I\u2019m looking forward to the ceremony in October. All credit to Verner Wheelock though \u2013 all the training courses I\u2019ve been on, including the Level 4 Food Safety, have been well planned, well thought out and have been delivered by fantastic trainers who are really enthusiastic about their subject and obviously enjoy imparting their knowledge to their students. I couldn\u2019t have done it without them!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the first time that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vwa.co.uk\/blog\/verner-wheelock-excellence-award-winners-announced\/\">Verner Wheelock student has received an award<\/a> for outstanding results in recent years. Quality Assurance Manager,<strong> Wayne Bonadie<\/strong>, scored top marks in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vwa.co.uk\/blog\/four-rsph-food-safety-prizes-in-five-years-for-verner-wheelock-delegates\/\">RSPH Level 4 Food Safety<\/a> for Manufacturing examination in 2011. <strong>In fact VWA trainees have regularly won awards in HACCP, Food Safety and Nutrition since the 1990s when the company was formed.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not one, not two, but three students trained by leading food industry training company, Verner Wheelock, have achieved the highest marks in the country in their RSPH examinations.
