Now that the fuss and hype of the Brit Awards and the Grammy\u2019s are over, we can get on with announcing something much closer to our hearts. We\u2019re talking, of course, about the Verner Wheelock Excellence Awards!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are six award categories. These are Student of the Year in HACCP<\/a>, Auditing<\/a> or Food Safety<\/a>; Individual Excellence; Company Excellence and Ethical Excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Huge congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Verner Wheelock Excellence Awards<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n They are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n HACCP Student of the Year<\/strong> – Michael Murray of Hilltop Honey Ltd<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Auditing Student of the Year<\/strong> – Karen Miles of Soreen<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Food Safety Student of the Year<\/strong> – Sergei Jegorov of Speedibake<\/p>\n\n\n\n Individual Excellence Award<\/strong> – Molly Jones of BBF Ltd<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Company Excellence Award<\/strong> – Ornua Ingredients Europe<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ethical Excellence Award<\/strong> – Cooke Aquaculture Scotland Ltd<\/p>\n\n\n\n The awards began in 2015 to coincide with our company\u2019s 25th<\/sup> birthday. Outstanding delegates from all courses throughout the year \u2013 both open and in-house \u2013 are noted by the trainers. We then decide on a shortlist and the eventual winners. The eventual winners don\u2019t necessarily attain the highest examination results. It is a combination of results, interaction and a genuine interest in the subject. Every individual winner receives a trophy, a certificate and \u00a3250 towards their next training course with Verner Wheelock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Company Excellence Award goes to a company that has invested in training across the board, with good examination results for the delegates. Companies receive a trophy and certificate and \u00a3500 towards training with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nominees for the Ethical Excellence Award are selected for their management\u2019s commitment to continuous improvement and for going over and above the minimum requirements of the audited standard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To be in with a chance of winning a Verner Wheelock Award, you need to attend one of our courses. We have several open courses to choose from.
