VWA Sponsors Best Prepared Meat Category at DY Taste Awards

Award-winning training company Verner Wheelock is sponsoring the Best Prepared Meat category at this year’s Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards. The category includes any meat product with a value added element such as sausages, burgers, ham etc. and may be served either hot or cold.

Managing Director Alison Wheelock said, “We’ve trained a significant number of meat producers and processors since the company was founded in 1990, so we’re very happy to be sponsoring this category at the Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards. ”

Training in Yorkshire or Remotely

To assist with this, Verner Wheelock provides training at all levels in HACCP, Food Safety and Auditing as well as other specialist courses. These include Legal Labelling, Managing Food Allergens, Root Cause Analysis and Product Authenticity and Food Defence. Delegates can attend in person at Verner Wheelock’s training centre in Skipton, North Yorkshire or remotely via Zoom.

In-house training at a client’s own premises is a popular choice for those with five or more employees to train. Companies can select from Verner Wheelock’s wide range of courses or opt for a bespoke course, tailored to their own specific requirements.
