Welcome to our February update – keeping you informed of all the latest news from Verner Wheelock Associates.
February Training Courses
February was a really busy month for in-house training with our trainers travelling the length and breadth of the UK with courses running in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Yorkshire, Cheshire and London. We are always happy to travel to customer sites – wherever they may be – in order to offer cost effective training solutions.
We ran Level 2 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety courses at Pinneys of Scotland in Annan which were part-funded through Women and Work funding through the National Skills Academy. This funding has proved invaluable to both companies and sole traders who would not have been able to go ahead with training without these grants.
Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety courses and a HACCP Refresher here in Skipton were all well attended as was an excellent Training the Trainer course which ran smoothly in the capable hands of course tutor, Judith Sunderland, despite snowy conditions outside.
We received some great results in Februaryincluding those from the RSPH Level 3 Food Safety course in Skipton where the 9 delegates achieved 8 Distinctions and 1 pass, despite a last minute change of trainer, due to illness. We were able to call on our network of experienced trainers to make sure that the course went ahead and the training was up to our usual high standards.
As a well deserved treat at VWA after a hectic month of courses and bookings we celebrated National Chip Week by ordering fish and chips for lunch from well-known local chippy, Bizzie Lizzies.
