Welcome to the Verner Wheelock review of September 2014
It’s always great to start the ‘new term’, and as always, September proved to be a very busy month at Verner Wheelock. With the fantastic summer weather continuing throughout September our delegates have been makimg the most of the gardens at Broughton Hall and several course lunches have been served at the picnic benches outside the Utopia cafe.
Our delegates have received some excellent results recently including the following:
- FDQ Auditing Skills Certificate course (september 2014 in Skipton) 100% pass rate – all with Distinctions
- RSPH Level 3 Award in HACCP (September 2014 in Skipton) 100% pass rate with 11 Distinctions and 3 passes
We also had several passes for recent RSPH Level 4 Food Safety and HACCP courses – with one delegate achieving very comfortable passes in both subjects! Our delegates are consistently achieving good results in these courses – read more about our RSPH award winners.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
A big thank you to all our friends, neighbours and colleagues who attended our Macmillan Coffee morning on 26th September. We raised £202.22 which was fantastic!
Everyone at Verner Wheelock contributed to the array of cakes and biscuits on offer but we all agreed that Jason’s impressive Smartie cookies made him Star Baker!
Like VWA, the Macmillan coffee mornings first started in 1990, so next year we will be aiming to hold a proper ‘Silver Jubilee’ event to celebrate both 25 year anniversaries!
Verner Wheelock on Video
We were pleased to be asked to feature in a promotional video for the Broughton Hall Estate and filming took place during September. There are over 500 people working around the estate in a wide range of businesses of all sizes. A few scenes from our offices and also a live training session in our refurbished training facilitiy will feature in the finished video.
