Pass your exams with VWA

When enquiring about our training courses, the first question often asked is “How much will it cost me?”  Perhaps just as important, but often forgotten, is the question, “What is the pass rate for the course?” as the answer to this question will give HR Managers and potential trainees a better idea of whether the course offers value for money.

At Verner Wheelock Associates (VWA) we are happy to tell you that our pass rates are generally very high.  We pride ourselves on ensuring that we match candidates to the correct level of course, and on supporting delegates throughout their course and in the completion of their exams and assignments.  At VWA offer help with exam technique and the opportunity to submit practice questions before sitting the more advanced exams.

The majority of trainees pass their exams with flying colours first time around with a good proportion achieving Honours or Credit passes.  For those candidates who don’t pass first time we provide constructive feedback and support to ensure they are successful on their second attempt.  All of our approved trainers hold professional training qualifications and have several years of food industry experience behind them.  This enables them to enhance the standard course material with real-life examples that are relevant to your business whether you work in food retailing, catering or manufacturing.

We have recently analysed our exam results and as you can see, our results from our most popular courses speak for themselves.

International Success in HACCP and Food Safety

When we say we can run a course ‘at a venue to suit you’ this can be anywhere in the UK or abroad – even as far afield as Africa

VWA training associate David Baines has recently returned from Ghana where he has run three courses for us in 2007 at Afrotropic Cocoa Processing Ltd.  In January 2007 with David’s help we were able to offer the introductory level ‘HACCP – the Fundamentals’ along with our Intermediate HACCP ‘Making it Work’ course.  More recently, 13 staff at Afrotropic completed the RIPH Level 2 in Food Safety for which we are currently awaiting results.  Two more courses are planned for later in the year.

Allison Pickup – Honours in Advanced HACCP

Honours in Advanced HACCP
Against the Odds

On our HACCP ‘Taking it Further course in November 2006 our candidates achieved excellent results.

This is one of the most advanced courses we offer, with candidates being required to pass two written exams and a post-course practical assignment to achieve the RIPH Advanced Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles.

Allison Pickup – Honours in Advanced HACCP

We generally achieve very good results from this course (100% pass rate in 2005 and 2007 to date) but we are delighted to announce that one of our delegates has achieved a prestigious Honours pass following completion of our recent course in November.  Allison Pickup, Technical Director at Martins Foods, clearly showed her in-depth understanding of HACCP principles and was able to apply her knowledge correctly under exam conditions to achieve top marks.

This result is made all the more remarkable as the candidates who sat the exam at Broughton Hall in January 2007 arrived to find that there was no power or heating as local power lines were down due to recent storms.  They battled through, aided by flasks of coffee and against the odds all the candidates passed (four with Credits), and Allison excelled herself for an Honours pass, despite the cold.
