3-day course leading to the CIEH Level 3 Award in Training Skills and Practice
Regular and effective training is essential if high standards of food safety are to be achieved and maintained. This course will provide participants with the key elements and skills required to be a successful trainer.
This qualification is aimed at those who want to develop practical training skills and is the minimum requirement for anyone wishing to register to deliver CIEH qualifications (or other awarding bodies) in food safety, health and safety etc, in the workplace.
It is also ideal for first-time trainers who need to understand the basics of training skills and practice or those looking to refine their techniques. It encourages a flexible approach to training delivery that takes account of learners’ needs and preferences.
No formal qualifications are required. On completion of this course, holders of the Level 4 Award in Food Safety, or an equivalent qualification, who have relevant industry experience will be able to deliver food safety training up to Level 3.
Candidates are assessed on their design and delivery of a short training session which they are required to deliver to other members of the group
