The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety has been extensively revised in consultation with senior representatives from major retailers and food service companies.
This course will look at the changes made to Issue 6 of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (January 2012), in relation to Issue 5. The Standard has been updated to provide increased emphasis on good manufacturing practice and ensures that the requirements of manufacturers and retailers are met.
Certification against the new Standard comes into force from January 2012, so as soon as the new Standard is available you should start to revise your systems in preparation for your BRC audit in 2012. Issue 5 can still be used for audits until January 2012
There are no entry requirements but this one day course is aimed at those in the food industry who need to ensure that their systems meet the requirements of the latest BRC Standard for Food Safety (Issue 6).
