About Verner Wheelock

Professor Verner Wheelock is Chairman of Verner Wheelock Associates and formerly Special Professor in Food Science at the University of Nottingham. Our head office is situated on the historic Broughton Hall Estate, near Skipton, Yorkshire.

As Consultants the main thrust of our work is in the management of food issues, particularly those relating to food safety, nutrition, the environment and animal welfare.

We specialise in relating science and technology to business operations including product development, marketing, public relations and crisis management. Our key Consultancy clients include: Danish Bacon, Arla Foods, Irish Food Board and Sainsbury's.

Our extensive and flexible Management Development Programme offers a wide range of courses on many aspects of food safety, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), auditing and nutrition. Much of our work centres on the food safety management system of HACCP. Using our experienced tutors we are able to offer a comprehensive HACCP training programme incorporating all levels from senior management to operatives.

Verner Wheelock Associates is a registered training and examination centre for the Royal Institute of Public Health, many of our Training Programmes result in nationally recognised qualifications.
